Week 17

I think our baby must be growing A LOT this week.  I feel extra tired at night, and my bed time has been around 7:30 the last few nights.  Either that, or I am taking advantage of going to be early...either way, I'm getting plenty of sleep!

Babycenter.com says our baby is the size of a turnip this week!  Each week, Nick has been calling our baby the "size object" of the week.  He asked "how's our little avocado was doing this morning."  I had to correct him, as it is a turnip this week (not the prettiest veggie on the block!).

Here's what else we learned this week about the baby (I love how babycenter.com "shares the love" between both sexes.  They call it she one week and the next he!)
"Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop."
